Hi! I’m Allison Lloyd, the certified parent coach behind Go Parent and Former Special Education teacher turned Child Advocate. Here, we work together to create practical parenting goals and build the home life you envision. Parenting isn’t always easy, and sometimes you just have to go parent! Together a can take things step by step while growing. Let’s navigate this journey together!
Working with kids has always been at the heart of what I do. From babysitting and volunteering to leading youth programs in high school and serving as a camp counselor in college, I’ve always been drawn to youth development. I earned a Bachelor’s in Sign Language Education and a Master’s in Special Education, followed by teaching credentials in both Special Education and Elementary Education. Throughout my career, I taught during the school year and spent summers as an Assistant Camp Director before stepping into a full-time Camp Director role in 2011. Leading hundreds of campers and staff each summer taught me invaluable lessons that I now bring to parent coaching.

In spring 2023, I earned my Parent Coaching Institute certification. Parenting is hard and something I’ve seen firsthand through my work and as a mom to a teen son (a stroke survivor with epilepsy) and a teen daughter. We seek guidance in so many areas of life, yet parenting advice often comes from distant experts through blogs and books. Parent coaching is different; it's personal and tailored to you. Together, we’ll create practical, family-specific goals to help you build the family life you dream of.
