Hey there,

ree

You’ve probably heard adults say, “Get off your phone!” or “Screens are bad for you!” And maybe you’ve rolled your eyes or thought, They just don’t get it. I get it. You like your phone, your games, your group chats, your YouTube. That stuff is fun and it helps you feel connected.

But here’s what I want you to know:

Limiting screen time isn’t about controlling you. It’s about protecting something really important: you.

Your Brain Is Growing Fast

Right now, your brain is changing more than it ever will again. That means everything you do, what you watch, how much you sleep, how you spend your free time; is shaping your future brain. Too much screen time can make it harder to focus, mess with your sleep, and even make you feel more anxious or down.

Screens Are Built to Hook You

Apps and games are fun on purpose they're designed to keep you clicking, scrolling, and watching. That doesn’t mean you’re weak. It means they’re really good at keeping your attention. But you can be smarter than the scroll.

Mental Health Matters

More and more kids are feeling stressed, lonely, or unsure of themselves and part of that is linked to being online too much. You might feel fine now, or maybe you don’t, but either way, your mind and your mood are worth protecting.

Real Life Builds Confidence

The more time you spend doing things in the real world: talking, laughing, playing, creating, the stronger and more confident you become. Screens are easy. Real life is where you grow.

You’re in Charge

You don’t have to quit screens. You just need to use them in a way that helps you. Not the algorithm. Not the app. You. Set limits. Take breaks. Protect your peace. That’s not weakness, that’s strength.

You are powerful. More powerful than any app.
